Ez az agyi folyamat akkor is lejátszódik bennünk, mikor épp a zuhany alatt állunk, hiszen ilyenkor nyugodtak vagyunk, a meleg víz felfrissít, és belső gondolatainkra is jobban tudunk koncentrálni. A zúgó víz hangja, és a meleg izmokat relaxáló hatása is segíti a gondolatok szabad áramlását, vagyis azt a nyitott állapotot, melyben asszociációink beindulhatnak.
Egy zuhanykabin belsejében még ez a felfrissülés is jobban fog esni, egy zuhanyajtó mögött pedig duplán kizárhatjuk a külvilágot.
